In 2002, SOS Intl was established to fulfill the needs of System Operators in the utility industry.  From our beginnings, we shaped the industry by pioneering the way training is delivered and compliance is thought about that parallels NERC’s quest to keep the grid reliable and safe. At the core of SOS’s innovative approach remains an unwavering commitment to deliver new and better solutions that directly address customer needs.  Our commitment to high-quality solutions is very true. That’s the essence of what we do – but it hardly tells the whole story.

In the late 90’s the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) developed two coordinating programs to establish standards for the training and qualifications of people who operate bulk electric power systems in North America. As NERC standards and requirements continued to develop, SOS expanded, due to escalating client needs related to compliance and business operations. To date, this trend continues.  SOS is the only company that has comprehensive solutions around NERC training, NERC compliance, and improving business operations.  We are known for meeting our clients where they are, helping solve their everyday problems and making them more efficient while focusing on reliability of the grid.
