The SOS Intl PER-005 Tool is designed to help businesses that are registered as Reliability Coordinators, Balancing Authorities, and/or Transmission Operators to meet all of the requirements listed in the North American Electric Reliability Corporation’s (NERC) enforceable standard PER-005-1.
The PER-005 Tool follows the training industry accepted systematic approach to training. This tool includes every step, and the actions needed to meet those steps, to comply with the PER-005-1 standard. Those companies needing to meet the requirements and measures of PER-005-1 can easily marry employee's jobs, roles, tasks and subtasks, courses, learning objectives, and competencies with an easy to use drag and drop interface. It will also allow the user to link evidence, where needed, providing compliance and analysis reports.
The SOS Intl PER-005 Tool with help users meet requirements for standard PER-005-1 and keep you compliant by:
- Building a complete training plan through the use of a guided systematic approach to training
- Providing planning for all training phases and template documentation that can be completed as well as linked back as evidence
- Importing tasks, operators and jobs and organizing them to create the required company specific task list that can be printed or exported
- Linking evidence of documented learning objectives by connecting the objectives to the list of tasks
- Automatically importing records from the SOS Intl Training Management System (TMS) or manually by using the included import feature of the JTA Tool
- Importing learning assessment results, such as test scores, from the SOS University, or manually allowing users to import or link to this evidence.
- Setting up alerts that go to colleagues and also can provide reports
- Providing training gaps, training lists and auditing reports of incomplete steps
- Providing a dashboard view of remaining steps to be accomplished to meet PER-005
- Importing emergency related simulation records from the SOS University TMS or manually allowing users to link as training evidence
Users currently with access to the SOS Intl University Learning Management System (LMS) and SOS Intl University Training Management System (TMS) can easily import the data from these systems into the Job Task Analysis (JTA) Tool.
