EOPS Transmission II is an advanced-level course that blends simulation with instruction on transmission principles. The course provides students advanced challenges and increased interaction with the PowerSimulator. This course was designed for operators with an established background in the fundamentals of electric power who are looking for a greater challenge in the level of course content.

• Instruction on the safe management of
system shutdown and restoration
• Fundamentals of Voltage Collapse dynamics
with detailed simulation
• Simulations based on actual power system
events in many cases modified for use on
the proven PALCO electric system
• Fundamentals of system restoration
planning and execution

This course will help experienced Transmission Operators to sharpen their skills and learn new approaches to the complex challenges that can develop in the bulk electric system. |
